Explore Your Story
Explore Your Story
A space to be heard, understood, and sometimes gently challenged.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you're unsure where to begin or what you want to say.
We all carry stories about ourselves, shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the world around us. Some of these stories help us make sense of who we are. Others can leave us feeling stuck, questioning ourselves, or repeating patterns we don't fully understand.
Therapy offers an opportunity to explore these stories with curiosity and compassion. Not to decide which parts of you need fixing, but to understand how you've come to see yourself and whether those ways of thinking still fit.
My approach is collaborative, warm and sometimes gently challenging. I won't assume I know your story better than you do, but I will be curious about it. Together, we can explore what lies beneath the surface, make connections, and perhaps begin to see things differently.
You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start with whatever feels important to you.
Discover Yourself
I offer a therapeutic space to re-write, re-frame, and reclaim your story.
Psychotherapy and counselling give you the time and space to talk about what’s going on in your life. It’s a place where you can share your thoughts and feelings openly, without judgement. Talking things through can help you understand yourself better, make sense of difficult experiences, and find ways to move forward.
At Your Story Psychotherapy, I offer personal therapy in a safe environment to help you to explore your story.
I believe all people are unique and deserve to be seen and understood. When times are harder it can be important to know yourself and your triggers so that past experiences don't determine your present or future.
My approach is LGBTQ+ and kink aware and affirming, ensuring that every individual feels accepted and understood.
I amdedicated to supporting your mental health and personal growth.

How I work
I see therapy as a conversation we're both actively involved in. I'll listen, ask questions and sometimes share things I notice, whether that's a recurring pattern, a connection between experiences, or a different way of looking at something.
I offer these thoughts with curiosity rather than certainty. They might make sense to you, they might not, or they might lead us somewhere neither of us expected.
For me, therapy isn't about having all the answers. It's about making room to explore the questions together.
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels useful for you. Rather than following a fixed formula, we'll work together to understand your experiences, what matters to you, and what you might want from therapy.
There's no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about. We can begin wherever you are.
Long Term
We are able to offer long term psychotherapy that explores deep-rooted patterns and can help understanding and processing how your past is impacting your present and future.
Short Term
Short term counselling can offer a more focused approach on a particular area of your life or issue you are facing. It can also feel more suitable for those who want to feel directly in control of their therapy journey.
Trauma Informed
We hold the belief that you are not simply what happened to you. Your trauma does not define you but is just a part of your story to be explored and understood.
We recognise the impact of trauma over a lifetime but instead of asking' what is wrong with you?', we are more concerned with 'what has happened to you?' and 'how has it affected you?'
Safe Environment
It can feel like a big step to come to therapy, so we try to make the space feel as relaxed and welcoming as possible from the start.
You don’t have to have the “right words” or even know where to begin and we can figure that out together. I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect, and you can bring whatever feels important, at your own pace.
My hope is that over time, this becomes a place where you can be yourself more fully, talk things through honestly, and feel supported while you make sense of what’s going on for you.

Kink Affirming
We work in a kink-aware way, which means we welcome and respect a wide range of relationship styles, identities, and sexual expressions. You won’t need to explain or justify this part of yourself, or worry about being judged or misunderstood.
Whether kink is central to what you’d like to explore or simply part of your life, I hold it as one aspect of who you are, not something to pathologise. I aim to offer a space where you can talk openly and honestly, and where your experiences are met with curiosity, respect, and care.

Holistic Approach
We consider all aspects of your life while providing personalised counselling services
This holistic approach to therapy, means looking at you as a whole person, your experiences, relationships, body, emotions, and the wider contexts that have shaped your life. We’re particularly interested in how the stories you carry about yourself can influence how you feel and the choices you make. Together, we can gently explore these narratives where they’ve come from, how they’ve been shaped, and whether they still feel right for you now.
Rather than seeing you as the problem, we’re interested in how certain patterns or stories may have taken hold, and how we might begin to loosen their grip. Therapy can become a space to re-author parts of your story in a way that feels more compassionate, flexible, and aligned with who you are and want to be.
